Saturday 8 April 3.30 – 6.30

Wesley Memorial Hall, New Inn Hall st, Oxford

An invitation to join us for some scrumptious Greek food, a (non-alcoholic) drink, a film…and a bit of a discussion

Our event will begin with some lovely, home-made Greek food. We’re then going to show the first 40 minutes of Politiki Kouzina, a popular Greek film from 2003 (with English sub-titles) which has lots of historical, cultural, culinary and implicitly more robust political themes which we’re going to tease out in a brief-follow on discussion – just as we might do in one of our informal study-tour seminars. If that whets your appetite we hope you might stay on for the rest of the film. The point though is that we hope you will join us for as much or as little of the event as you can, with food from 3.30- 4.15, the first part of the film and discussion, c.4.15- 5.20ish, and with the final part of the film ending by 6.30 p.m.

Please,  rsvp Mark (m.levene@soton.ac.uk, tel: 01926 641026 ) by 1 April.

Looking forward to seeing you then!
